Eric’s first holiday song is available for free right now on erichutchinson.com!
(We Can Remember) New Year’s Eve
funny how time slips away
one more year gone by
and our stories will convey
how our tears ran dry
things won’t be like before
but i’m pretty sure
spirits will endure
and we can remember new year’s eve
take your eye off of the clock
you can hold time still
opportunity will knock
leaving you fulfilled
as an old year turns
think of what we’ve learned
hope and promise burned
and we can remember new year’s eve
people get bent out of shape
and searching out of plans they made for one big night
time’s a man made measure of business and pleasure
and it starts to take over our lives
and we let it
oh we can’t forget
when we look back on these days
we will find some truth
in the year that patiently
celebrated youth
save the season for your friends
smiles will transcend
this is not the end
and we can remember new year’s eve

Finally Eric’s first music video has resurfaced. CM5268 posted it on Youtube. The 2002 video was Eric’s final film project during his senior year at Emerson. It was directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson, and was shot in the streets of Boston.
It was entered into the EVVY’s, and was show at Third Annual Emerson College Festival of Film and Video. “I hope that when other students see good work they look at it as a challenge to learn and take the opportunities at Emerson,” said senior Todd Strauss-Schulson, winner of the 2002 EVVY for Best Single Camera Director for Subtitles, in his acceptance speech. “People should recognize good work and promote it within the film community.”

Rock N Roll is still going on the Billboard Adult Top 40, and Triple A charts, and Sounds Like This is in the top 20 of the Heatseakers charts, but OK, It’s Alright With Me will be the new single. It is just starting to get some push.

Here is a shoutout to all the musicians out there digging on Rock N Roll. There are some nice interpretations, including a ukulele and even the piano.
My Favorite so far has to be the first one.
Hopefully this might help out others trying to figure out chords for Rock N Roll.

Thank God It’s Thanksgiving. It’s been a busy week. Rock N Roll is on the Adult Top 40 hits now, at 11 on the Hot Videoclip Hits, number 4 on the AAA Charts, still charting in Japan, and Sounds Like This is still on the Heatseekers.
Rock N Roll video sits at #9 on the VH1 top 20 (VOTE FOR IT HERE), and Eric will be a quest on 12-6. I have no idea what that means, we will have to watch and see.
Here is a snapshot of Eric on Halloween.
